Precise humidity control for HVAC projects

27 May 2026

In sectors where precision and reliability matter most - manufacturing, healthcare and defence - humidity control isn't just a comfort consideration, it's critical infrastructure.

As a HVAC engineer or facilities manager, you'll know the seasonal challenge well. Cold outside air, drawn into an air handling unit and heated, loses its moisture rapidly - often pushing relative humidity well below the recommended 40–60% threshold. The downstream effects are real: increased static electricity, accelerated material degradation, as well cause the products and test to be run or produced in inconsistent conditions. Consistency is key to ensure reliable and predicable testing or production, otherwise a consistent product cannot be guaranteed.

The answer lies in integrating humidification at source, whether that's retrofitting steam, evaporative or spray humidifiers into existing AHUs, or designing control into new installations from day one. Every application has its own demands - energy use, water quality, controls compatibility and maintenance access all need to be weighed carefully.

That's where we come in. At Humidity Solutions, our engineers work alongside HVAC specifiers and contractors from initial consultation through bespoke design, product selection, installation, commissioning and ongoing support. One partner, full accountability, optimised from the start. Keeping your HVAC system in balance, all year round.
